The Northern Front Range is centered around Fort Collins and anchored to the west by Estes Park. Camping and outdoor activities are a hallmark of this region including numerous State Parks in addition to Larimer County managed Horsetooth Reservior, Carter Lake, Flatiron and Pinewood Reservoir.
Northwest of Fort Collins is Red Feather Lakes and the Cache La Poudre (river). The eastern portion of the region includes the Pawnee National Grasslands and Jackson Lake State Park.
